The: fourth issue of the BoA News Ledger News Magazine will soon be released by March 2017/ The News Ledger contains activities of the Board of Accountancy and the accountancy profession in text and in pictures. There will be 3,000 copies of the News Ledger that will be printed and subsequently distributed/sold to the various accountancy stakeholders, including accounting schools and colleges, sectoral accountancy organizations, PICPA chapters, business firms and establishment, government officers, and international accountancy organizations.
Those who are interested in supporting the News Ledger can now advertise in the publication. Advertisers will be able to reach out with the followers of the News Ledger, including potentially the more than 175,000 CPAs, -over 125,000 enrollees , over 520 accounting schools, over 14,000 accountancy graduates, over 21,500 CPA Board examinees, and over 6,500 CPAs in public practice.

ORDERS OF NEWS LEDGER MAGAZINE NOW ACCEPTED
Some are asking where they can get the first issue of the News Ledger magazine of the accountancy profession. The News Ledger is a 32 page full colored magazine containing the lastest news on developments of the profession.
PICPA Chapters, sectoral organizations, accounting schools and all other accounting organizations which would like to order at least 20 copies of the News Ledger can place their order by emailing email@example.com and depositing the payment (P100 per copy with free courier/mailing already) at BPI SA 3523136983) and emailing the scanned copy of the deposit slip to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alternatively, copies of the News Ledger magazine will be made available in the various PICPA Chapter offices (the presidents can make arrangement with the BOA secretariat) or at PICPA Shaw .
CALL FOR ARTICLES FOR NEXT ISSUE OF NEWS LEDGER
“Good Governance: Credo of Accountants” This is the theme for the October 2015 issue of the News Ledger magazine.
The Editorial Board now is accepting articles from all accountants on the above mentioned theme. “We will be including in our next issue of the News Ledger contributions from our readers on best practices, anecdotes, success stories on good governance put in place by our accountants from the various sectors, including, academe, industry, public practice and government. I am sure that a lot of our accountants will have something to share on this matter,” BoA Chairman Joel Tan-Torres said.
The articles should be written in easy to understand English, from 300 to 600 words, done in Microsoft Word. Colored pictures to accompany the article are encouraged.
The article should be emailed to email@example.com (attention: News Ledger Board/October 2015 Issue), with a short write up of the writer.
Articles should be emailed not later than September 15, 2015.

During the oath taking of the new CPAs in PICC on July 1, 2015, the first issue of the News Ledger will be launched by the Board of Accountancy ofAccountamcy. News Ledger is a news magazine that contains articles on the developments and activities in the accountancy profession. This news magazine will be released on a quarterly basis.
“Our News Ledger will chronicle our “Expanding Horizons” activities. There are so many activities a happening in our profession that we would want to share and communicate. Hence, the need for our news magazine that will contain news articles on important accountancy developments. Of course, typical of the Filipino habit of , thtaking pictures of their events, the News Ledger will have volumes of pictures of these activities ,” Chairman Joel Tan-Torres said.
“For this first issue, I would like to acknowledge the valuable contribution and assistance of the National Federation of Junior CPAs headed by its president Rushnell de Vera and Christian Canlubo, the Vice President for Graphics and Publication. They were responsible for designing the cover and the ;lay out of the articles in our news magazine,” Chairman Tan-Torres said.
Contributions of articles and pictures to the subsequent issues are welcome and can be submitted to the Editorial Board at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The News Ledger will be distributed for a minimal fee.
Advertisements will be accepted to finance the publication of the news magazine. Advertisers will be able to access an estimated market or audience of over 100,000 accountants, coming from the various sectors of academe, commerce and industry, public practice and government. Details on the advertising terms will be made available soon.
